D-SL Blowout Preventer (BOP)

The D-SL RAM Blowout Preventer is a field proven preventer that is designed for high pressure, critical service operations, deep land drilling and subsea service.

• Require minimum maintenance space; low overall height compared with other ram blowout preventers
• Available in single, double, and triple designs
• Ram block resign, with a mechanically energized top seal, provides superior performance and sealing capability even after the ram cavity or upper body seat area is worn from years of service
• Rams fit within the ram cavity in the open position with no interface fit between the metal or elastomer seal components
• Opening between the ram and support skids creates a self-draining body allowing mud and debris to be flushed out from the cavity when the rams are opened
• Wear rings eliminate metal-to-metal contract between the piston and cylinder which increases the seal life as well as efficiency and reliability
