D-S Type Choke Adjustable Hydraulic
DOYLES D-S type chokes are ideal for both onshore and offshore applications. In use for more than three decades, they are generally considered to be the most popular well-killing and high-pressure control chokes in the drilling industry. It is engineered for precise well control under harsh and demanding conditions and is suitable for H2S service as well as abrasive fluid applications.
FEATURES
- Actuator fork rotation enables finite regulation of opening from full open to full close
- 17-degree overlap beyond the full close position ensures closure even if the plates become worn following extended exposure to abrasive flow conditions
- Extended wear sleeves are available to handle abrasive downstream turbulence, especially during under-balanced drilling operations
- Can be operated by rig air, hydraulically or manually
Type S Choke Control Console
- Available as single or dual choke control units with analog or digital gauges
- Provides accurate pressure control and built to withstand the harshest operating conditions
- Self-contained and skid-mounted for easy installation on or near the rig
- Operates either hydraulically or manually
- Large, easy-to-read gauges monitor critical drill pipe and casing-pressure
- Choke-position indicator displays relative opening from “Full Open” to “Full Close”
